About These Rankings

Composite—Our overall ranking score, combining all five factors into a single number. Higher is better.

SOS—Strength of Schedule: measures how tough a program's opponents were across the full season.

H2H—Head-to-Head: direct results against other HBCU programs, with more weight given to later-season matchups.

TierW—Tier-Weighted Wins: wins are credited by opponent quality — beating a stronger program earns more than beating a weaker one.

Win%—Adjusted Win Percentage: overall win-loss record, adjusted to account for the level of competition faced.

PtDiff—Point Differential: average margin of victory or defeat per game — a tiebreaker signal, not a primary driver.

Each bar shows a team's score relative to the highest-scoring team in that category.
